This was a new one. Getting something at a breakfast shop this morning and the cash register screen had the 20% tip button on the left side, just to confuse tired people who havenβt had their coffee yet.
You wonβt fool me, you monsters!

Every time I see a new system I try to put a negative percentage to see if I can fool them.
Youβre literally this guy.

So much friction when shopping now!!!
Ass holes! They get nothing ππ
10% is as high as I go, you literally pressed one button.
My rule is pay with credit and tip in cash, hand to hand.
:slow clap:
My wife tips everyone a bunch. I tip as needed fairly. nostr:npub16eumpaxffppswucpeysysrya9uk39j06d5gr2tsnf6cupq3f4jdqyft6jc thonks money is a boomerang πͺ. lol π

I'm so sick of this push for excessive and mandatory tips, as if cashiers and waiters are worth more to society than everybody else. Absolutely blows my mind, the entitlement some people have.
personally i'd avoid any place that this is expected, anyway, restaurants are already absurdly expensive... gimme a pub meal and a pint of guinness forget this fancy shit
I live in a pretty small town, where most of the restaurants are just family owned businesses, so I don't encounter this too often. However, if I were living in a big city, it would drive me nuts.
