It's no secret there's people that prefers to hodl, it's similar to having gold and silver coins on them, some would spend the silver first and save the gold, especially when comes to food, drinks and other kinds of consumables.

The HODL culture just kind of irritates me because it implies they’ll never use those Bitcoin at all, some people might die with them, and the more people that do that the more they damage Bitcoin because they’re removing the liquidity necessary for it to circulate.

Lol no, other people savings doesn't harm the currency liquidity and that's some fiat lies. The rarer the better.

Do you see Bitcoin as Medium of Exchange, as well as a Store of Value, or do you only see it as a Store of Value?

For something to be a medium of exchange it needs to be a store of value.

Yeah but we can live on Bitcoin now and unfortunately most Maxis don’t and that makes no sense.

There's a few places that do that already. But you can't fault people wanting to save while they don't live in a bitcoiner place

No you can do it basically everywhere now with Bitrefill and now even easier with the Square Lightning integration. If you keep all of your spending money in fiat, your status as a Maxi should be in question. Spend and replenish is the way.

He’s in LatAm I’m pretty sure, to be fair to him.

Western Countries, and Africa have more robust infrastructure than LatAm does right now unfortunately.

But LatAm seems to be the most P2P of the three.

I have no clue about Asia’s crypto usage tbh.

Africa has more robust infrastructure than Latin America? Haven’t heard that one before.

For Bitcoin/Crypto.

They have cellphone Bitcoin Wallet texting services on Flip Phones and rent payments with nostr:nprofile1qqs97ekh6cxykm34l0m5ddrlymhj9rxrys3jemtf90psy3nysum0lkcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytn00p68ytnyv4mz7sunz0f then they’re got some wildlife tourist ticket system.

The only LatAm country with Bitcoin is El Salvador, and even their government service is only used by less than 1% of people in the country.

First world appreciates Bitcoin out being educated on it, third world appreciates Bitcoin out of necessity, second world doesn’t know what to think.

Yes I prefer P2P myself

So I get poorer paying for extra fees in the process ? No ty. I don't say I'm a maxi anyways.

Fees are nothing compared to your increase in purchasing power.

And I'll only increase my purcharsing power if I save any to begin with lol. 0 BTC = 0 BTC

The small details is always the deadliest ones.

Spend and replenish. That means half of your spending money is dollars and half is Bitcoin. This alone preserves purchasing power but if you save, that’s even better.

Bro, it’s different for Western Countries than LatAm, in like half of LatAm like Venezuela, or Cuba you could be arrested for having Bitcoin.

And Mexico is the richest of LatAm but even they’re like drastically poorer than The U.S.

Unless you’re going to pull an nostr:nprofile1qqsw54ajtaa903sa0hgt7cjpzfz2tqxkwz0y9gsy9r7ns8ufa7xk8kcpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumrpdejqzxrhwden5te0wfjkccte9eekummjwsh8xmmrd9skcse4se5 and start going to random Spanish countries to increase adoption, I don’t think it’s really fair to criticize him personally.

Hell, I’m broke, & I can’t even save Bitcoin in America, imagine how much worse it is in a country where the term liquidity doesn’t even exist.

There, I zapped you some Sats, go save in Bitcoin.

I’m converting them to Monero 😁!

(JK, I’m not but you wouldn’t know since “Lightning is “private””)

But thank you for the zaps 😎👌.

I can pass a bitrefill card around here. The thing is, I won't do it.

More than half, don't forget the fee.

I do spend bitcoin if it's worth doing so, like I do on Playasia. I won't do it if means paying extra to buy things like paperbutt without even contributing for adoption. If you do, be my guest and continue.

And don't delude yourself, you're not helping bitcoin adoption with bitrefill, you're just making spending bitcoin easier for yourself while the normie you're paying doesn't know and won't need to know shit about bitcoin, perpetuating the bank system.

What it does is it creates a market demand where the corpos will see that their biggest gift card purchasers are Bitcoin payment processors. This incentivizes more adoption.

By shareholders and corpos, while your avarage Joe remains ignorant that you used bitcoin, good strategy.. I guess ?

Glad you mentioned that, because I use Bitrefill for basically all of my purchases, I have had many conversations with clerks because they ask if I want a receipt for the rest of my giftcard. I tell them no because I paid with Bitcoin and got an exact amount. This usually creates an interesting conversation that results in the clerk looking into Bitcoin.

Do at least two of them started accepting bitcoin direct from onchain or lighting ? Or it was just a courtesy show of interest in the end ?

I mean, if I am going to TJ Max, what do you suggest I do to increase Bitcoin adoption while I am there? Or should I just use fiat?

You ask if they accept bitcoin, if they don't then you leave, or just pay in cash/fiat and leave. You're more likely to augment their interest naturally asking than trying hard to look cool for going extra lenghts to spend it your bitcoin there.

Spend your bitcoin*
