This is bringing back some flashbacks of being pushed into the deep end by my babysitter's son with no adult supervision. It was truly sink, or swim that day. While he just laughed.
Nearly died, but I got the hang of it just in time.
At least this kid's mom is there in case shit went wrong.

I was never so lucky.
This might come as a shock but it’s totally possible to learn swimming without nearly dying. Plus, trauma bonding isn’t an indicator of good swim lessons.
