All around the world when visiting a city I always seek out the top rated croissant to see how it stacks up.

Today we have AgathĆ© in Melbourne’s CBD. Presentation pretty good, mise en scĆ©ne very nice, but a little doughy, missing some flakiness and lacking a little je ne sais quoi. Overall: 7.1

I was just going to say, Toronto croissants are šŸ§‘ā€šŸ³šŸ’‹

Oui oui croissant , bon appetite

You need a Frankie

Croissants are hit and miss in Melbourne. We have good coffee though

Omg, I miss pastries… (am GF) have you tried Lune, they used to be in Fitzroy… people queue outside. The butter aroma is intense.

I moved to NZ last year and so far haven’t made it over the explore Australia yet aside from one layover in Sydney. I’m looking forward to Melbourne at the top of my list.

Bonus that it’s a short flight too!

You'll definitely need to check out Adelaide. Better weather here than Melbs. Also an expat and the ANZ region has been great to me. Good move šŸ¤™

We need to get you to Lune ASAP ! 🄐

I am super into this. Did a similar croissant series this summer šŸ¤“. Sounds like I can miss on Agathe

It’s definitely not bad - pretty good in fact - I just have a high bar.

Yes but we only have so much time, I won’t write it off but perhaps just make it a p3 for the trip this round.

What are your croissant criteria? šŸ¤”
