Had an idea tonight for what to present at Nostr World 2025. nostr:npub1nstrcu63lzpjkz94djajuz2evrgu2psd66cwgc0gz0c0qazezx0q9urg5l

The presentation focuses on history in context to the outbox direction Nostr is evolving toward, like computer science lectures that overview old versions of protocols before explaining the latest iteration.

This is gonna be a good one!

It’ll be a historical comparison of all the previous iterations (some resembling many of my own), showing why it’s all naturally led to here out of necessity…

I could ramble on in these tweets about why BlueSky and Scuttlebutt are dead-ends, but I think this (after Nestr launch most importantly) will be more fun.

Looking forward to it.

ht to nostr:npub16zsllwrkrwt5emz2805vhjewj6nsjrw0ge0latyrn2jv5gxf5k0q5l92l7 for elucidating the old Scuttlebutt syncing problem to me at Nostrasia. It’s why BlueSky achieving redundancy with reliable CAP is a dead-end.

Optimized outbox is an exciting alternative.

Interesting. I’ll look forward to that talk!
