> And why tf is the Pixel7pro experience so shit in comparison to the 8?

They're nearly the same experience. 8th gen onwards have better security but the user experience is largely identical other than memory tagging related UIs in GrapheneOS. It sounds like something is wrong with your configuration on that device or you have a hardware issue like the heatsink being seated improperly so it's overheating and getting throttled.

It's still being actively developed and is still partially used on the stock Pixel OS along with being fully used on many other devices. We don't plan to make many changes to it since they're actively improving it. We know it's not very good and has UI and performance issues but none of that is specific to GrapheneOS. Android is working on improving it.

Appreciate the response. One thing that has been bothering me was not being able to go directly from camera to gallery. Saying they should be the same experience made me remember that I installed the google camera app without google photos, so switching back to the stock camera solves that problem.

I don't think my phone actually has any performance issues, but there does seem to be something wrong with the file manager. Could battery saving mode or something I have turned on/off cause file issues?
