They move to these so-called "exclusive" platforms thinking they’re avoiding censorship, but they’re still dependent on centralized entities—especially when it comes to payments. Whoever controls the payment rails can still exert influence, meaning true freedom isn’t really achieved.
With #Nostr, we have a real opportunity to break that cycle, but it requires creators and users to understand that decentralization isn’t just about avoiding content restrictions—it’s also about breaking free from the financial gatekeepers. Until then, they’re just trading one form of control for another
