Replying to Avatar cloud fodder

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away. I tried to make a job in this world for myself by building a Bitcoin whale watch website for traders. Since I decided trading wasn't my thing, and building tools and playing with data was.

I wanted to run off donations. I received a single donation, which at the time amounted to less than 10$. I decided I couldn't make a living off of it, and that I had failed again to be my own boss. I put the Bitcoin away in the cold and went back to being a brain slave for corporations for years.

Guess what that donation is 'worth' now? A shit ton more than a few dollars, and I *still have it.

I have a few other stories and they all end the same. A failure turns success over long periods of time.

I hope that someone who is struggling to see their dreams come true of working in this space will see this post and decide to learn how to keep their sats cold and be patient. Spend the time to learn your wallet software and how to custody, then you can do other things. But DO NOT throw them away. Do not give up on the idea of bitcoin, and do not complain about zaps being small. It makes me cringe to know that someone would value sats in fiat value and I'm scared for their future. Do not be a statistic of someone 'loosing their sats'.

They will grow over time and you must hang on tighter than you have ever held anything. Years may seem like a long time, but you'll get there. When you do, you'll be happy you did, because you will finally be free. 🌱

Probably a new idea to many - I tell people it's like getting paid straight to your retirement account.
