Are you suggesting that this wouldn't have happened if a tiny number of privacy nuts hadn't opted out at TSA checkpoints?
Because if not, then the only difference is that their data isn't in as many government databases. Still seems like they're winning on the data security front.

I opted out at the TSA line and then to exit the airport they had automatic doors that only allowed one person through at a time after swiping your papers and it filmed you from multiple angles while you walked down the hall. Yay DC 😭

Decline to consent verbally and in writing whenever possible. But it will not help you until 5 years later when they admit that it was illegal without your consent.
