Why do some people think science is a liberal endeavor? Science is science. It's an objective process for determining truth using a process and framework. It's not political. If we get to a place where people on the right just dismiss science because of some false notion of partisanship, we're going to be living a really stupid reality.

Yes, and we are living in a very stupid reality. Getting stupider, too.
Science is very unattractive to ideologues of every stripe, because it regards as axiomatic that we may be wrong.
That's a great point. Regardless of politics, it seems the opposition is linked with scientific conclusions or ideals that conflict with someone's ideology or cause. It's an example of motivated reasoning.
100%
"science" and "freedom of speech" are two things everybody claims to believe in.
but nobody does.
or they do only when it fits their narrative.
so to liberals freedom of speech is freedom to burn the bibles.
to conservatives freedom of speech is freedom to tell trannies that they are really men.
neither group believes in "reverse freedom of speech" ... or "reverse science"
LOL
That's not accurate, but OK. I understand the underlying point you're trying to make.
liberal "science" is that climate is mainly a function of cow farts and not significantly influenced by things like the sun. and that current temperatures are unprecedented even though they were higher through half of history, but not the part of history liberals choose to look at.
conservative "science" is that life begins at conception, and cannot be terminated at any point after that - unless you're a Palestinian, in which case your life must be terminated because you're a terrorist. conservative science also states that if you have sex with a 17 year old girl you're a pedophile and should be killed, even though Jesus' mother Mary was 12, but that was immaculate conception though.
both liberals and conservatives make a point of screaming " THIS IS SCIENCE ! ! ! " whenever they spew their nonsense.
Utter nonsense. There is no liberal science or conservative science. Science is not a political endeavor. It's a universal process for determining truth. There are liberals who are scientists, and there are conservatives who are scientists. And their affiliation means nothing. The evidence and peer review process determines the conclusions of various hypotheses, and what the consensus position is. What you describe is what science looks like to people who have no idea how science works.
that's called 99% of people.
Scientists, and people in scientific fields make up way more than 1% of the population. And regardless of how many people understand how science works, the way it works is fixed and the basis of the process by which it is carried out. What uneducated people believe is irrelevant.
😂 The scientific method is missing in action & has been for quite awhile...
Not really. Science is chugging along like always. What's different is the right-wing, anti-intellectual culture has turned science into a vehicle of politics, where every scientific endeavor is viewed through a political lens, and rejected if its conclusions don't support their pre-existing, partisan perspective.
What's missing in action is the right's critical thinking faculties, and ability to put their fervent political views on the shelf when considering matters of science, and objective truth.
I understand, you're pissed about their retarded collective not agreeing with your retarded collectives re branding of politics as science... 😂
I don't even know what you're talking about. You're sitting here spinning up stories that bear no resemblance to any reality. But hey, if you want to amuse yourself with creative fiction to make you feel better about yourself, go for it. I'll be over here eating popcorn. 🍿 😄
