Your liver is constantly performing detoxification as part of its normal physiological function—it doesn't need "detoxing" to boost its natural function.

Fasting may reduce liver fat accumulation, particularly in people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

I wasn’t going with “detoxing”, more like a cooldown/reset period from digestion, aka overnight. At least that’s what I’ve heard.

So if your body fat was low, good composition, no NAFDL, etc, there wouldn’t be liver issues with an eating window of say, 20hrs a day?

yeah i shouldn't have used the detox term. but it doesn't regenerate any liver function while fasting

correct. but you would find it impossible to not eat too many calories if you ate 20hrs a day. burning your could take one bite of a steak over and over and eat for 20hrs a day with a few carbs like fruit you would be fine

*but if you could* not "burning"
