No. I’ve been staring at a screen since I found out they were better than reality (in other words, I could play age of empires 2 age of kings on a screen but if I did it in reality I’ve have been jailed very quickly)

Was just telling my friend how my parents took me to a toy store after the school year has finished. And how happy I was to go and get the biggest jigsaw puzzle I can make.
All the boredom was useful. Using physical things is useful. The screen-attached boredom isn't. It only makes everything else look bleak.
let’s consciously bring some of those times back into our lives…

Funny you mentioned that. Yesterday I needed to run some errands and took a ride and stopped at few stores without taking my phone with me..... It was somewhat liberating :-)
Yesterday I forgot my phone at home and I couldn't go back to get it because I was late for a school concert. So I had to listen and watch the performance without filming or getting distracted. A very interesting experience…
I was born with a Bloomberg terminal in one hand and an iPad playing YouTube videos on the other, so no not really 😕

You just may feel a bit lonely while you're doing it. Although, I've felt lonliest while lost in a device "connecting" with others, so maybe not.
I practice this by having a cigar with a friend or by myself. I'm sure you can think of your own way if you don't do the whole cigar thing. Honestly? Nope. My whole life has been screens. TV -> cinema -> handheld game consoles (Pacman!) -> computer -> phone/tablet.
And I'm old. Well ... oldish. 😉
