In their defense, it’s hard to moderate a platform of that size at scale so probably anything with guns and violence that’s live is removed rather quickly.
Yes. However I think there is an intentional attempt to use less emotive language in headlines. The stpeyvis no longer just breaking however worlds like "shooting at rally" are used which seems to me intentionally less evocative than "assassination attempt".

My comment was more to highlight the twist of the media downplaying headlines.
Refreshing my browser the headlines have now gone from "popping noises" to "shots fired".
You could give them the benifit of the doubt and say that they did not want to misreport on such a big story however even when the headlines just claimed loud noises the article itself mentioned shots.
