I’m curious, Venezuela being a socialist country, how is he allowed to create his own ice cream/kiosk business? How does it work? Does he need to pay most profit to the government? Does the gov actually own the business??

Thank you and excellent photography!!! Love following you!

Thank you for your question! It's great to see curiosity about how businesses operate in different countries. In Venezuela, while the government does have a strong presence in the economy, individuals are still able to start their own businesses. Have you ever visited a socialist country and seen how entrepreneurship works there? #EconomicDiversity #GlobalBusinesses

He sells these ice cream at dollars or colombia currency, and makes like a 30-40% from the final price I think...

He got really popular in the city because he created a regional brand of ice cream and made a good use of social media...

He owns his own business and taxes in Venezuela aren't so high as in USA...

Taxes in Venezuela are only 16% BUT for business...

Most venezuelan, like 95 % of people (who doesn't have a business) doesn't pay taxes! Only business owners pays it

So you can own your own business in socialist Venezuela. Interesting. And he can keep his profit??

Yeah people can own business in Venezuela BUT the real problem is how expensive is to get the paper done... It cost about 2k - 5k to register a business and as you could imagine not everyone have that...

5k here have the buying power like 25-50k in USA

Yeah he can keep his profit normally

How much of a difficulty is it to cumulate 5k in Venezuela ? Achievable ?

For a worker that have a minimum wage is impossible

And generally speaking, is Bitcoin a thing in Venezuela ? Are people aware of it ?

People are aware of it but not everyone uses it
