Help me out here.

How does one feel strongly about Jesus? How does one have a personal relationship with Christ?

In general I feel very little or nothing when I think about god and he exists to me more as a vague concept.

Any advice?

You get to know him by reading the bible. Can’t feel strongly about someone you don’t know much about.

Another thought: this translation provides an enormous amount of concordance, and explains how things have been translated over time. This is a sort of open-source translation of the bible. The sort of thing people on nostr will appreciate.
