“Bitcoin is a religion”

Maybe if you’re an incurious low IQ who sees the world though an us/them paradigm rather than a true/false paradigm.

For me it’s just true.

low IQ and low-testosterone.

The Bitcoin community is humble and questions everything. Not emblematic of a religion.

I didn't think it could be a religion until I started reading Cason's book. The idea of Satoshi, a man, becoming a mesiah is interesting because it's pure logos. It doesn't matter if you beleive Satoshi is an actual diety or not because bitcoin is a ledger.

In a hundred years or so, people will know if Satoshi sacraficed a million sats or not. His sacrificial lamb is on display for all the world to see. Imagine if the actual Jesus, could post a selfie by his tomb and time stamp it on the bitcoin timechain. That's badically what Satoshi did.

BlackRock will never do that.

Saylor might, but the original idea came from Satoshi. That could totally make him a religious figure. Maybe Saylor can be the patron saint of Satoshi or something.

saylor would do nothing of the sort.

satoshi is in a league of his own

He's hinted that he'll die with his sats. He might, but I don't think Strategy will.

Same. It’s true for me too

Thinking being religious is derogatory is telling on yourself

Depends on the religion

There is definitely some Bitcoin Idolatry going on, but that doesn’t mean Bitcoin is a religion. I’m guessing the people making that critique are worshipping idols and they don’t even realize it.

It’s a religion with a utility token

It’s a CULT.

ANYONE can join.

Respectfully disagree.

History tells me - there was an era of separating church from state.

Now we're going through an age of separating money from state.

Bitcoin separates money from church AND state.

BTC as a driving force - yes. To be worshipped - no.
