i think damus or primal might be vulnerable as they combine both a client and relay, making it harder to “remove some liability,” echoing nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m's recent remarks about twitter.

Agreed. There is an old saying, "no matter how decentralized you make a system, centralization creeps in through the back door". We still have enough relays for data portability, and that's a killer feature.

This is very misleading. Damus does not require the damus relay, primal requires their relay. I will eventually remove the damus relay once autopilot is sufficiently reliable
