I've consumed everything Dragonball except GT. I could never get past the first season. It was just so bad. I'll probably watch what ever new thing they make. Unless it's about those androids from the new Gohan movie.

It’s similar to GT. Goku and Supreme Kai (of all people) are turned into children and have to go on some kind of adventure across space.
It is an Akira Toriyama original story, but it doesn’t seem like something strictly canon.
They did bring back an original character designer from DBZ though, and supposedly it has solid animation talent behind it. It’s been a poorly kept secret for the past year and isn’t starting until next year, so they put lots of production time into it.
I suspect it will be decent, but I’m one of the weirdos who likes GT, so we’ll see.
well later on it gets pretty by-the-numbers DBZ if that was more your thing. i enjoy the first season just because it was trying to harken back to the early days of Dragon Ball that was more about adventure and less about power level wanking.
i enjoy it more than Super overall because at least Goku has a personality in GT, you can actually see how he's grown since DBZ instead of him just being perpetually stuck as the same guy for his entire life. it's weird Vegeta showed more growth and character development than him.
I would never claim that early GT is good, but it sure is… well, something.
Ironically, GT Goku is characterized with much better continuity. When things are lighthearted, he’s got the old childlike joy, but when things start to get serious with Rild, he turns into the serious, competent Goku from the 23rd Budokai.
In Super, it depends entirely on the episode, but generally speaking, he just acts like kid Goku in an adult body, except it’s never funny, and Nozawa doesn’t sound charming when she’s playing a silly part anymore because she’s in her mid 80’s.
