There is so much taste inside of elderflowers. Last year I dried about the same amount and my stocks go empty now. Time to restock ๐ŸŒธ No need to add sugar!! ๐Ÿค

do you save some for berries too?

I mean I have still many flowers left that develop to fruit but idk how I would use the fruit

maybe soak them in vodka for a tincture?

You just eat the flowers straight? Or like make teas with them or something?

tea ๐Ÿซ–

for elderflower cordial? How about elderflower gin in a similar manner to how sloe gin is made?

not the biggest fan of syrup or alcohol :)

Wow! I've planted so many elderberries but none of them have bloomed, even after 4 years or so

Love it ๐Ÿ˜ just be aware that itโ€™s a medicine plantโ€ฆnot for daily useโ€ฆGreat for fevers and flues etc.

I also

Love the taste and smell too ๐Ÿฅฐ

(Berries are toxic when eaten raw! So need to be boiled)

yeah of course, some will be shared too ๐Ÿฅฐ

Well done!

thansk fren!! ๐Ÿซ‚

thanksssss

Let's go Franny!

I planted my first elderberry about 8 months ago in the Australian subtropics. It was a tiny little tubestock seedling & is now 6ft high with several vigorous shoots.

I didn't realise how cool of a plant it is. It's late autumn here & it doesn't seem to be going dormant yet.

How cool! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜ gM franny ๐Ÿ’œ
