Not surprised that the first game was basically released at the same time as the first movie.

The greentext could be true if it's meant to be early oughts rather than true 90s. Altho a millenial europoor woman turning lesbian isn't particularly likely. Probably more of a zoomer thing.

I'm europoor. And as I recall some kids at school already had a cell phone, usually a Nokia around 2000 to 2002, by about 2004 or 2005 most kids had a cell phone of some kind. Likely possible only because of cell carrier monthly payment plans, barely anyone would have had the ability to outright buy a cell phone.

I'm pretty sure the first iPod I ever saw at school was only around 2007, no one had them, a lot more portable CD players or cheap MP3 players. Likewise almost no iPhones or other touchscreen phones around 2010. Over here everyone having a smartphone in their pocket probably only began around 2014 to 2016.

Cellphones proliferation was about three or four years ahead of that here in the US, I suspected as much and didn't want to immediately say 'fake'.

But he absolutely could not be playing a Harry Potter game in the 90s. Could just be mistaking it for something else or using Harry Potter as a catch-all, given this apparently was when he was in elementary school. Memories get hazy.
