Definitely a lot of parallels between Phish & #Bitcoin IMO in regards to network effects. If I had to guess most of the band have little to no clue about #BTC and I'd venture to speculate that Fishman is probably anti-Bitcoin due to his liberal political leanings & the Energy FUD that gets spewed out from that side of the overton window.
Agree 100%. They are clueless wallobs about the signal they are sending. Most Phish fans are shitcoiner statists.
Fishman is an idealist above all and I believe even he can see the possibility of being an unknowing cyoherpunk signal spreader.
Not all signal led to Bitcoin. A lot of it became adversarial - like Phishing - which were all sure was highly unintentional in terms of their name.
A future Phish-like ecosystem might not be able to survive in a world of CBDCs

There was a spiritual struggle in the 80s who clearly saw potential in Trey et al. Borh good and evil battled for their creative ears and we got what we got.
Even if the normie Phish fan never gets it - I want Bitcoiners to know our way of life existed. It’s either a cautionary tale of the Lizards or it’s continuing to be written because Bitcoin WAS invented and it changed everything.

It was an easy migration moving from Phish to #Bitcoin because I already understood the effort it takes to build something that spreads virally peer to peer ie through word of mouth guerilla marketing & without substantial corporate marketing dollars placed behind it.

Better said - I think the spirits knew Phish was special and wanted them to prepare the generation for what was to come - but it was a struggle of both good and evil giving them creative inspiration and they were a faucet for ALL of it.
I like looking at what they have Bitcoinets because the war otherwise looks like it’s been lost. I bring A Wave of Hope.
