1) More people can grasp the idea of censorship of speech than they can financial censorship (let alone economic theory) which makes the idea of open social platforms very easy to understand and easier to see a need for, especially in today’s age of political polarization and corporate tech centralization.

2) The incentives, network effect, and overall social norms of a native lightning network on nostr, in a very real sense gives energy and life to the system.

The ease of use of the network to the user, coupled with the low cost and high benefits of utilizing the network, makes it an easy and logical next step.

3) The new price discovery of a 2024 halving, alongside a rapidly scaling nostr protocol—means as price goes up—the growing user base will seek to obtain more of the underlying asset, seek to learn about it, and in turn seek to hold the bearer asset in self custody and it’s intended to be held.
