I love this movie. Another underrated gem with a great story and peak Jennifer Connelly. It got crushed at the box office due to releasing around the same time as T2 & Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves. The summer of 91 had some great movies.
The Rocketeer (1991)

A stunt pilot comes across a prototype jetpack that gives him the ability to fly. However, evil forces of the world also want this jetpack at any cost.

Funny, never saw that one. Realize why now from your post
I saw this in the theater, plus Robin Hood on the same night. Totally worth watching. I love the art style, and it is a really good story. A great hero arc.
Huh, I remember hating on it for no reason lol. Saw the SNL or Living Color skit El Rocketeero, he had a leaf blower lol. Different times
Did you do the old free second movie trip to bathroom trick? ๐คญ
Funny, I remember being excited for this one when it came out, I had some comics for it beforehand ๐
The small town I grew up near had a two screen theater. There was always a deal for two movies, one early show, one late show. I always took advantage.
Yeah, it did well and a lot of people I knew saw it, but somehow couldn't be bothered.
This is a good one
I fucking love that you're posting these.
Loved it as a kid, he was so dreamy ๐ฅฐ. The kid was obsessed with it for a while and watched it on repeat.

It's a good family film for sure. I was 13 when it came out, I enjoyed it then and it's still good now as an adult.
And yes, there is eye candy all around ๐ I think Jennifer Connelly may have been my first movie star crush after seeing this movie ๐
I had completely forgotten about it, I'm not sure how the hubs dredged it up. I was not mad ๐.
Solid
