Tobacco in general is great for bee and wasp stings. My dad chewed red man and as a kid I knew to run to him when I got stung, and as an adult I started keeping it in my vehicle for the same reasons, even before I started chewing. I know loose leaf, dip, and cigarette tobacco work just fine. I’d assume cigar would work though pretty expensive lol and also pipe tobacco. I haven’t tried snuff or snus so not sure if their processes takes away that ability but I’d doubt it quite honestly.

Good to know! I grew up without anyone who smoked/ used tobacco around me so tobacco was completely foreign to me. Thanks

My dad grew up growing tobacco, mostly burley if I remember correct. Pretty sure my family had been doing it for at least 3 generations. Then govt got involved and started paying my grandfather to not grow it. I never grew it myself, but I been wanting to get me a little patch just to play with, mostly, and to see how it does in a permaculture mindset.

Do it! Restore the family tradition! And I'm pretty excited about it from a permaculture perspective! And I'm super excited about it from a herbalist perspective.

That angle is a part of my desire to do it, but also to maybe save myself some money on chew lol and to better control what’s in the chew I’m chewing

That's a good move, saving money and controlling what goes into your body!
