I have no idea how they manage channels for the user, since your wallet is technically on chain and they just do swaps when you want to use LN. I assume they have plenty of channel capacity but my understanding is pretty limited

I think the fact they use submarine-swaps is biting them in the ass. Unfortunate but it is what it is. I think, at the time, submarine swaps made Muun stand apart and solved some interesting limitations while the Lightning network still grew.
But as the timechain fees (and usage) increases, and with lightning much more robust than it was 1-2 years ago, maybe Muun's way of handling things aren't the best way anymore.
I understand the problem, but how they handle it (no communication) is weak
The swap service seems to be dead. Can’t receive a LN transaction larger than 100k sats. So I’m using it as a simple on-chain wallet. Really sad that the submarine feature hit them back. The idea was nice, but it doesn’t scale well apparently 😔 I‘d still monitor what they do next before deleting it forever 🤷🏻♂️
Onchain shouldn’t be a problem. It is a non custodial wallet afaik
Is good you speak about it.. look today i send this first transaction from Muun to wos. I was very happy 0sats in fee to send 2100sats but few minute i doing a other one and look the fee is crazy for the same amount…😅🤷♂️
