Bastiat may have stated something which is true, volontary fraternity is what is to be pursued, this for sure. And capitalism has nothing to do with fraternity --- Is Bastiat a capitalist? it feels more like a capitalist who doesn't want the state between the balls so they can become richer and richer

I don't think true fraternity (which is voluntary) can be had under a regime that forces redistribution. Taxation isn't charity, right? So the only way to achieve voluntary fraternity is for people to choose *which group* they wish to fraternize with.
