Oh god, nice
Take a look at NIP-30. These kind of links should be in a tag with mediatype.. Same for images.
Oh lol, really. I'll check it out
No client does this yet, afaik. I want to make some test events soon.
NIP-30 seems like a good idea but doesn't seem to have gained too much traction from client devs. Discussion has stalled in the PR as well.
I added experimental support for NIP-30 to nostr-tool on the latest main branch if someone wants to play around with it. Adheres to the current PR but that is probably subject to change.
Can we get snort to stream videos from magnet links?? Would be 🔥. Would let me distro my next movie on Nostr (the dream)
Yes, it worked for me, asked me to open a desktop app
what is a magnet link?
If you're on Snort, you can right click on the title and copy the link from there.
Oh lol, I thought you asked “What is THE magnet link”.
How hard would it be to add support on Android apps?
Not sure, I just saw Kieran (snort.social dev) testing it out and it didn’t work for me so I did my own test.
Maybe actual Android devs such as #[3] or #[4] can chime in on it?
Iits should be just a manner of marking this format as a valid URL on the app and having an external app claiming this same format
