It may be stuck for a long time. It may even fall out of the mempool if it gets bad enough and you set it to low enough. If that happens, try again less frugally. Also you might be able to RBF it (replace by fee) which basically means makjng a second transaction to effectively boost the rate you used initially

You should look at the tx in the wallet you used to send it and see if it shows that option. It isn’t always, has to be enabled beforehand i believe. Somehow. #tardstr sorry
If you have change coming back to yourself you can also make a transaction with that change utxo with a higher fee, this is referred to as child pays for parent or cpfp as miners need to include the first tx to get the fees for the later.
