Ancient Greeks had different words for different kinds of love.

Unconditional love is for our children. We shouldn’t expect it from anywhere else, even if we didn’t get it from our parents.

You could argue someone to love is the most useful thing a person could do. Love is sacrifice and work, so why do we do it? Because its far better for us to give then to receive and we know it and act on it! 🤯
