I love that after 10 years of being married to me, my wife still doesn’t know anything about bitcoin. lol

Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Better don't die before that has changed.

My husband thinks I am in a cult called Nostr.

17yrs here

& same

Division of labor FTW

Planning for the divorce?

Haha nah. I love my wife.

Bro the struggle is real…

I remember your tweet from like 6 accounts ago:

You: “Hey wifey, we have $500k in GBTC now.”

Wifey: “That’s cool. Did you remember to grab milk and fruit on your way home?”

(Paraphrasing here)

I actually told her she was a millionaire in her accounts and she was like “oh neat” lol 😂

perfect

Hahaha. My wife is starting to go crazy listening to me and I was oranged pilled this year

LOL.

Mine is like, babe I trust you, just leave good instructions.

I see it as a sign of respect for your wife, and that speaks well of you. BTW, 30+ years here, same.😂

Lol same. Brought it up on our first date so she knew what she was getting into

does it ever cause fights?

Full transparency. In the early days of our marriage I was a little intense around bitcoin/money stuff lol

But to her credit she’s been a good teammate despite some pretty tough asks from me.

We basically lived off of her income while I plowed everything I made into bitcoin.

I’m in the same boat…except don’t even own a whole Bitcoin. But if it were fully up to me I would put all of our meager savings into Bitcoin. Unfortunately she, and most people, are stuck in the throw it in an index fund or try and get house poor by buying another property that we can’t afford. Needless to say, I’m impatiently waiting for number go up.

Why is it not up to you?

Well, I need to be somewhat pragmatic. For someone who thinks Bitcoin is basically a scam it’s hard to justify throwing all our savings into that when we have 2 kids as well. I’m trying to chip away at her ignorance towards it.

My opinion, take it for what it’s worth.

Women want men who decisively lead. Sometimes you have to just do it and let them be mad at you. I yoloed our entire savings account into bitcoin a decade ago without talking to my wife. She was a little upset about it. lol but it all worked out in the end.

at least one partner needs to be financially sharp. from budgeting to savings, if someone doesn't step up, you'll get crushed.

And then sometimes it is the woman who sees the light.

Yeah I hear ya. My goal is to get at least a coin before September, because I think we are taking off after that. And boy oh boy could I use that financial relief.

10 years of being married 🙏⚡️🧡

Nice 👌🏼

+1

Yeah - I'm in a similar situation.

I wish I'd been a little more conservative with the Bitcoin expectations I set last cycle.

Repost

After almost a decade listening to me drone on endlessly, I've heard my wife hold her own just fine in conversations with her colleagues about why bitcoin isn't crypto, and that makes me very proud.

HODL that one! ☝🏼

That‘s comforting 😂

Ignorance is bliss… in the right situation.

Mine is the same way. Doesn't seem to mind me buying it so doesn't bug me :).
