Would you use a Cash App LNURL?

ie <$miles@cash.app> as a convenient, static, LN-enabled destination to receive sats and zaps?

Yea

Yes cash app is where it’s at because of the quick conversion to USD

Turn that on and it’s game over.

Custodian dependency is not good I Shlajmara on it.

And then we add DNS to the discussion...

DNS for lnurl?

πŸ’―

Absolutely

Yes πŸ™Œ

yes πŸ‘

I’m gonna need an optional anonymous LNURL, since we’re on a first and last name basis over at Cash.

Would you use a feature that automatically relayed any received / purchased / earned sats to a pre-input destination outside of Cash over LN?

so the feature, the Cash App LNURL, would relay sats to my own node or another custodian wallet?

to whatever destination you choose, my friend.

This is the way

To answer your question, yes of course I would use it, but not with this nym. If your $Cashtag has to match your ⚑️CashLNURL, then it’s a nonstarter. I would just add it to my toolbox of how I use Cash App every month.

How is it different from WoS?

Yes

Yes πŸ‘

Yea absolutely - looks so much cooler to post it up and easier to remember too

Of course. Great for tips too. If users could post their static LNURL on social and print QR’s for ⚑️ tips straight to cash app. That would shake things up πŸ”₯

foh sure

Without the $ though, so it's actually valid lightning address.

does including '$' break the spec? just starting to dig in deeply this week.

I think it would

It may break some clients. Don't try creating your custom thing, just follow the spec https://lightningaddress.com/

That's a good question. I'm not sure if that would break it.

Does the "$" really makes sense in a LN Address context?

I kinda understand it in a "$username" as a brand signal. But in a LN Address that brand is on the @cash.app.

It looks confusing, imho.

I’m with ya πŸ‘

Sorry, but sounds like an instant KYC service. And a instant tax report if I get more than $n zaps per year.

yeah

100%

I'm biased, but yes πŸ’™

Yes

Lightning address… πŸ‘€

Cash App Lightning Addresses for everyone is a no-brainer

The masses have spoken, Cash App is adding Lightning Addresses

Hmm πŸ€” after this BlueWallet shut down I worry that cash app can rug people as well

There’s many differences between Cash and BlueWallet including the latter being fully regulated and audited.

Yes this is true but 3rd party risk is still prevalent
