🙋♀️ Small town youth sports politics have kept our kid out of it. They also practice and have games going on until 9 or after during the week and that's a deal breaker. Kid's bedtime has only recently gone from 7:30 to 8:30. But "muh sportsball" is such a huge thing here that he feels left out.

I have been wrestling with most of this. My youngest is happy to play, my eldest is a powerhouse but chooses not to go on travel teams cause “that's too much soccer” according to her. So it's a balance they are happy with.
It's so hard to find a balance, glad your kiddos have. Most of the kids I've asked if they're liking it say they wish it was over, lol. The toxic parents are definitely the problem.
