Steerage is a old type of cheapest passanger class when people used to cross the ocens in liners. First class at the top, second class at the water line, third class below it. Steerage used to be down in the bilge to the rear of the ship between the boilers, engines and steering gear hence the name.
probably a good model for one's class on nostr, i guess i'm second class. maybe third. newbies are always steerage.
