Communities are on my list, not sure though if I'm on board with nip 172, it would be nice to make them private optionally

We can make another kind 1 for communities. But they will never be "private". The communities nip is not for private communities.
You already know my thoughts on new kinds vs wrapping for communities. I still think that wrapping is a much better approach, applicable to both with slight differences.
Btw, which client did you use to reply? It marked the approval post as the root of the thread, which is not correct.
