Nostr Web Client

People are telling me Terms of Service are bad, but I cant figure out which Nostr apps dont require them.

If Nostr is already censorship resistant, and does not follow the law, where do i find the illegal stuff like drugs and edibles or whatever?

How does nostr deal with pedos?

ToS for use of clients != ToS for signup

I can checkout Amethyst source, fork & modify it, run my own relay (w/o ToS) and have my way with the protocol. If I were inclined, default to Tor and share CP to hidden service relays only and have my own little nostr loli club or whatever.

nostr had its share of loli stuff here and there and yet I don't see the pedos flocking to nostr. You don't need nostr for pedo stuff nor drugs. It just isn't useful for any of that. But you could if you wanted. That's also freedom. Permission-less.

Good luck with pubky. I'm really not trying to attack you but I fail at getting your pitch here.

Pubky is open source too, fork it and run your own stuff if you want.

pubky-app is apparently deprecated and the link to franky doesn't work.

I could open Tor Browser, create a fully anonymous key and publish to nostr relays now. Doesn't apply to pubky.

Guess I'm just too ignorant. Have yet to see a reasonable response to any of the many criticism raised regarding pubky over the last days. All I see is "well you're holding it wrong or nostr sucks".

Pubky-app is the live app people are using. It is fully open source, just like every aspect of the Pubky Core protocol is also open.

Pubky-app is like Damus or Primal, not protocol anyway.

Franky is a new app under construction. It will be open-sourced once it works. This has no affect on your ability to use Pubky.

I know the difference between core and app. The readme of the app literally says it's deprecated. Protocol vs client is exactly the topic of this thread.

You need an invite. Try a home server without the invite code required.
