The “high fees” of the last few months would have saved you money if you paid for your groceries via BASE LAYER #Bitcoin payments, and that was the accepted form of payment. Everything in the store costs 3-5% more because credit card fees and chargebacks are added to the cost of the grocery items. The fact that people are complaining about “high fees” means they haven’t yet figured out how everything around them is priced.

Credit card fees are not at all comparable to bitcoin fees. This is what nocoiners/shitcoiners don't understand, especially for the fact that

Your mention of how things are priced around is has me thinking that even when we spend bitcoin today, we're still paying fiat prices. Still better than using dollars tho so I'm still at PubKey lol

We are unfortunately in a period where paying in Bitcoin does not yet offer these pricing benefits. As you noted; we are still paying the markup. A re-pricing in Bitcoin will happen, and this will become reality. Just more hidden costs of using an inferior monetary system.
Recently I've become more sympathetic to people who hodl and don't want to spend their sats...so long as they don't get on a high horse about it
It’s always happened throughout history. People hoard the good money and spend the bad money until the bad money is no longer accepted. Can’t really fight it.
