Vibe coded that shit, didn’t he.

Could've been quicker

He rested on Sunday so it was really 9 days

9 days for MVP, 9 years for v1

Here we are 3 years in and still can't get DMs working 🤣

What are you talking about, we have DMs working so well we have 17+ different ways of doing it 😅

:awk: :awk: :awk:

😆

And the users have given up. 🤣

I spun up matrix again 😁😂

Is DM the direct message functionality are you referring to?

works great, we just all ghost eachother constantly, making sure no one can form a collaborative team or do business on nostr.

5 months designing, 10 days implementing:

"But to be fair, the whole process started like December or November the year before, so 2004" (ending ~ April 7, 2005)

That doesn't sound super impressive given that the first version was only the low-level plumbing commands no one uses directly today and even Linus found them annoying.

The idea is actually impressive, but once you had it the implementation in 10 days isn't too big of a deal, I think.

Another impressive thing is that Chris Sawyer wrote Transport Tycoon in assembly.

Transport tycoon 💙

80% of my childhood consists of that game 😂

The laugh sounds, scream, cha-chings from the registers, are burnt in my head.

🤯

Though. I wonder what was in there at that point…
