I would be curious of the demand in my area. Lots of condos, offices, and hotels with elevators
Reposting this hoping more people see it this time.
I think bitcoiners would be good for the elevator industry and the elevator industry would be good for bitcoiners.
You have to know several trades, it’s pretty technical, and it’s dangerous work so it pays very well for blue collar work.
I think tech savvy bitcoiners would have an advantage in the trade. Most elevator mechanics are knuckle draggers like me that struggle with the tech side of the job.
You don’t need prior trade experience to get in, but of course it helps. It’s a 4 year apprenticeship, you learn the trade while working with a journeyman mechanic and go to school one night a week.
I’m glad to help anybody on Nostr that might be interested in the trade. Shoot me a message and I can help you get in contact with the right folks in your area.

Assuming you’re in Florida, there’s a few different locals. Are you close to Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, or Orlando?
Central part of the state. Otis seems to be the dominant brand in the hotels I've worked in. Always been curious about the industry Everytime I see them fixing them at one of the hotels
I would guess either the Tampa local or Orlando local covers where you’re at. You could give each of them a call and find out who covers your area then ask when their next recruitment is. I believe most locals have a recruitment every other year and take 1000 applicants.

Found this for Orlando. Honestly surprised wages are that low out there, might not be the move in Florida
