I was going to add Gemini to Amethyst but then I realized every damn app now has Conversational AI in some dumb form of questions and answers.

Somebody should build a new Nostr client where instead of any feed, you ask Gemini for what you want:

- Give me the latest from my friends.

- Give me the most zapped posts.

- Give me the first posts of every pubkey from yesterday.

- Give me the streams happening now that my contacts are also participating.

- Give me the latest memes.

- Give me all the reactions to Jack in the Super Bowl.

Etc..

That will be really cool. I'm also integrating Gemini into NostrNet with fine-grained control and a proper user interface.

Not everybody wants their client talking to Google (or OpenAI etc) - it needs to at least have an off switch

In-device models can take care of private events. But otherwise, I am not sure they are that interesting for public events. Constantly updating the local model to match the newest events coming in online is challenging.

I was attempting that, and it's quite challenging. So, I will be working on it with Gemini.

This will focus on private tasks like TTS, PDF summarizer, Basic Q/A etc., using small, task-specific language models with WebGPU.

eventually yes, but too early now.

i browse the entire network manually every day.

algorithms are more important on Twitter where you would never be able to browse 0.01% of content that is being posted.

People don’t know what they want until you show it to them.

Nice to have the option to request the items you enumerate, but people won’t remember all the things. Good to have a place that you curate overtime and have the app automatically show it to you.
