Germany will not oppose Chatcontrol including scanning private messages.

This means the gov is breaking the coalition contract, opening the gates for orweillan tyranny.

#fckthisdystopia

(Sorry for the negative vibes here, but this is too important to go ignored)

A government that operates without the informed consent of the governed has another word for it.

Cartel.

So we need to customize each meme with something of our own?

Some Germans really miss all the pearks of DDR.

And usually Germany is very sensitive about data protection. This time they picked the "right" data to protect, I guess...

🇩🇪=🇨🇳

Two wrongs do not make a right. You don't fight sexual abuse of children with a violation of everyone's privacy right. This tells you everything you need to know about the real intentions of the law...

Mein PGP ist wichtiger als Deutschland 🛹🅰️☠️

There is nothing negative about pointing out the BS, it’s a positive.

See bullshit, say something.

It is dangerous, methods of the past mixed with tech from the présent could lead to catastrophic outcomes.

I am now back in Switzerland where I was born and I appreciate much more the democratic system here after living 15+ years abroad, not perfect but amazing.

It was shaped over more than 700 years in a spirit of decentralization. It has mechanisms in place that force multi partisan cooperation at the legislative level. The compromise can be at time frustrating but they’ve kept an equilibrium. Add to that the power given to the people to introduce and stop initiatives and we really start to talk about participatory democracy, or democracy.

Comparing the systems of other countries to this one makes me believe that these other systems are intentionally corrupted. I feel European, not born in the country of my heritage, moved around a lot, but not this EU. The democratic process has to be changed, Switzerland included.

Decentalized finance… check

Decentralized communication… check

Decentralized production… loading

Decentralized law… awaiting command

This has struck a chord, likely blurb out note incoming…

Germany taking the “monopoly on violence” to new extremes

wtf - what is the logic you use to arrive at this ?

They’re now policing “digital violence”… Not a difficult train of thought to follow.

"Chatkontrolle" completely invalidates E2EE.

Could the EU enforce this asininity on #nostr clients? — I think yes.

Expect Google and Apple to soon start rejecting nostr clients apps that implement nip-04 from their app stores in the EU, as it is currently the case in China.
