I still can’t get over how fucking insane these AI tools are and what is being unleashed right now. Guys, you are ALL developers. Seriously, I cannot code, but I’ve spent half the day yesterday (and I’ll have it working perfectly in a bit) on a program to completely automate a daily task with the podcast and website that has been a pain in my ass for YEARS.

If you have a small, easily definable problem or something that takes 4 steps that you want done in 1, **You Can Build it!**

ChatGPT is that big of a deal. I’m not a developer… but I’ve been developing dozens of little scripts and small programs to do things for me and it’s just incredible. This is going to mess SO many things up. It feels like we are in the crux of the curve just before the “straight up” part #[0]‘s hyper-deflation trajectory. I’m going to have to read The Price of Tomorrow Again to get a better picture of this now that something is so clearly demonstrating how fast this can start moving without any way back.

I hope you guys are fucking buckled up. 🔥

Same experience here

Yes. Unbelievably amazing

I improved snorts performance with chatgpt4 but then broke something else and wasn’t sure how to fix it. Chatgpt didn’t have snorts full code base to analyze.

But yeah, quite amazing! I recreated robohash.org without any experience. Will upload to my host soon!

I’m going to try to get Llama (the leaked version) running locally on my new computer so I don’t have the constraints regarding what it is trained on and how much info I can feed it.

Very curious how these perform with local versions. I think there is a freedom critical race right now between open source AI and closed source, centralized platforms, and it’s critical that we win this race, imo.

Agreed - and why #Bitcoin is so important…and the communication channels. Broken money ensures that the AI is concentrated and the communication channels closed.

That’s a massive point worth re-stating, “broken money ensure that the AI is concentrated and the communication channels closed.”

IBM to pause hiring in plan to replace 7,800 jobs with AI - Bloomberg News (http://yahoo.com) – 5/1/23

International Business Machines Corp expects to pause hiring for roles as roughly 7,800 jobs could be replaced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the coming years, CEO Arvind Krishna told Bloomberg News on Monday.

Hiring specifically in back-office functions such as human resources will be suspended or slowed, Krishna said, adding that 30% of non-customer-facing roles could be replaced by AI and automations in five years.

How it starts

If ones model of the world exists from the existing monetary system and thinking that “governments got this”…they’re going to be very surprised by what’s coming.

#Bitcoin.

As a high school Economics teacher it's so disturbing to know/see how so many trad fi 1st principles are flawed or inherently so unequal or risky. 😳

Watching the central bankers gaslighting job feels surreal. They dont educate or explain... its just a full court press PR propaganda job. 😲

The even deeper point to consider is what tools will they use to maintain control?

Debt jubilees, international lending circles, and fiat systems collapsing and restructuring are what we've seen.

What's next? How ugly does it get.

Maybe not as much when so many seem willing to try and fit bitcoin and crypto into the existing system.

I have to say. I really don’t feel bad for the HR people.

I use it to create small python and batch scripts that would taken me an hour or two to create in a matter of seconds. Maybe I tweak a few items, maybe I don't. It's really wild.

You can literally install AutoGPT on your laptop, train your voice into elevenlabs.io , load the API into AutoGPT and then have it ready articles aloud to you in your own voice. Shit's amazing.

Also should download chatgpt4all locally so that you have it on your hard drive in case of internet outage.

I can no longer put off diving down this rabbit hole

Thank you for the tips chaps

(Buckling up)

How? Links guides etc lol

I don’t want to do that for the podcast because it kills why I love the show. But I am in the process of figuring out how to make foreign language versions of the podcast in *my* voice that is essentially totally automated. I’ll keep you updated on the progress as I dive in.

That would be amazing!

Soon the whole world will be able to hear the Hodl/Deater debate!

You can hsve it speak back in different languages too. You can have it teach you languages. Nuts.

Yes! 💯 agree. I am super bullish and enjoy exploring it. I use it near daily and continue to find new use cases.

Mongo need AI to write script that abolish federal reserve.

It’s coming in hot, and faster than the internet. I feel inside of a couple years, if you cannot prompt an AI, you’ll be the company dinosaur and virtually unemployable in knowledge jobs and most white collar settings.

The biggest thing right now is access to one, then its having the critical thinking to know when the AI is off the rails. People who are trained in seeking consilience will still outpreform those who take the first answer they get and run with it into a wall ( people like me 🤦😂).

Imagine, this is just getting started.. Buckle up indeed.

I listened to your podcast episode with nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe today, and - thinking things to their logical endpoint - one thing that makes me somewhat worried with the scenario that AI and robots makes everything extremely cheap, is that a low price does not equal zero. It's necessary that we actually can have short working days for what, in the long term minuscule, amount of jobs that still require humans, or we will have 90% of humanity unemployed, not being able to afford anything, even if a car, or, more crucially, food for a year is just a fraction of a sat (we'll eventually have to find a way to divide sats...). Even further along, we'll run into a problem when working days goes down to minutes or even seconds. There's no reasonable way for a human to continue something productive, no matter what it is, without getting "up to speed" on the thing that's being done.

Would industry owners eventually have to give out free sats, in order to have any potential buyers of their products? It would of course have to be voluntary since we would be on a Bitcoin standard, but to me it seems too similar to UBI to fall into the category of plausible. Why would they give them out when it's not guaranteed that they'll come back to their own business?

If AI takes off as predicted, it thinking out how different kinds of robots should be constructed, and it keeps building on itself, this scenario might easily happen within our lifetimes, despite us now not seeing any possible way of that happening, that's the power of exponential growth (pun semi-intended).
