Your work is flexible enough around their schedule?
For my job its simply not possible to focus on work AND parent (well) so we send them to day camp

Day camps for sports, excursions, beach, friends place for the day/night, babysitter
I tip the balance towards working less, and spend time with my kid more. Work can wait, the kid will grow up.

Cheap metal detector outside, snail/insect pets in a cheap tank/large jar, slime kits, family walks, play overs with other kids, Lego stop motion.
If you work remote and have some flexibility, extend your workday with several long breaks to spend with the kids. Then give them tasks (learning or chores/skill development) in between. I also moved my desk outside so they could play outside while I work.
I wish I could balance work 😕
