Nostr can survive a DDoS attack. This is by design. We have many, many clients and relays. Bullshit AF.

I would assume the volume of increased note loading via the HNY bots on clients and their indexers is causing a resource issue not an actual DDoS attack. But that's just a guess.

I'm only seeing them coming from nos_lol. That's a pretty good case for paid and private relays. I don't know what limits are in place, but it seems like bots could run an absolute train on an individual free relay.

Yeah, paid relays and rate limits are the easy way to combat spam.
