Am I the only one who thinks he's just explaining what Bitcoin is, but in a retarded and confusing way?
I don't see anything insightful in like 4 hours of podcasts.

I tuned out long ago. Loquacious, he is.
In my opinion he is repackaging the monetary black hole thesis in a more āengineeringā and Fed-friendly manner. He contextualizes Bitcoinās importance with evolutionary realities (cost of attack) and tries to liken Bitcoin to weapon because he works for the DoD. War strategies and weapons are their bread and butter.
I actually like what Lowery has to say about abstract power and havenāt heard that concept articulated before. Itās a major pitfall of humanity for sure and I think rigorous analysis of the topic is beneficial. Bitcoin actually does fix that.

I think the insight (to me) this that decree, law, legislation and software are abstract power hierarchies (to use Loweryās term) and that they degrade over time. PoW fixes that. I find it interesting and helpful, to each their own.
Nah, he's just spewing truisms for hours. He thinks that the security mechanism of Bitcoin, proof-of-work, makes Bitcoin a cybersecurity system somehow, although it's only ONE aspect of Bitcoin. It's so reductive it's insulting. He's been put on blast on Twitter over the weekend and deleted some of his rage comments, it's kinda funny

Interesting context for for why POW is Essential for bitcoin but not much beyond that.
