Heard about Highlighter on a podcast and wanted to try it out. Seemed like I couldn't create an account directly there so I set one up on Iris.to and then got focused here LOL

I've used Damus before, but never a web client - it's very different. I think I was expecting that "social media style" threads and it's different. Not exactly sure how... just different UX. But I'm here to learn!

I havent used a web client either. Using Onyx and Android. Still need to check out Highlighter too! Dev moves so fast here and it's really cool to have a front row seat. It's easy to wrapped up in nostr lol Diff vibe from reg sm ime too 🤙

totally different from any social media i've ever seen for sure! I think I prefer the UX on mobile but it's honestly just cool trying out all these new things

Check out coracle.social, satellite.earth, snort.social, and primal.net.

I personally prefer coracle and satellite. Snort is feature rich too.

thank you! I'll give these a try. I think I heard that primal is really good. Have you tried Iris?

Yes. Iris is great too. Super clean. The great thing is that they all offer different things. I play around with them and often switch between clients.

Are you using a nip 07 extension to sign in?

like a browser extension? I generated my keypair in Iris but then downloaded Alby extension so that I could log into Highlighter

Yeah, that’s what I was asking about. It’s recommended that you use an extension to store your private key when signing in with a browser. Just wanted to see if you were aware of that.

Yes, thank you!

I can see myself spending a lot of time doing this, lol

Do you know if there's a way to sort/filter notifications in Iris, at all? Seems like a bit of an intense "flow" without much control

You can make lists in coracle.social. Coracles search is also awesome.

In primal you can choose between feeds but you don’t control the feeds, you pick from a pre selected list.

I don’t know how to do what your asking about in iris. I stopped using it a while ago.

You can filter notifications in primal too.

In Iris, the notifications are just kind of hectic and don't thread in a consecutive/rational way, at least from what I've seen so far.

I'll definitely try these others out tomorrow!

Great!
