If only we had this back in my day I'd probably have gotten a lot less DUIs

Why is google sucking as a brand?

Kudos to the Waymo operations team as well- we had to contact them about some construction related traffic mess in SF and sent a Hail Mary “I know someone there” email. In less than 48 hours, they had reached out to meet, diagnosed the problem and rolled out a partial solution to cars while being open to track and tweak.

Seems you need to know someone at Waymo in order to use Waymo.

Naw- just gotta sign up and use their app (and firstly, it’s gotta be approved by local government to run driverless in their area)

Serving a Smart City near you...

I am a fan of the experience. Not so much of the price.

It was actually cheaper for me. I got it for a return trip and it charged me the same as the first human driven trip. Only difference was it didn't ask for a tip 😊

I was not comparing it to humans/uber/etc.

I expected robots to be at least an order of magnitude cheaper.

They haven't solved the problem. Their solution doesn't scale.

Did it ask probing questions? If so (or not) how is it different than Uber?

It doesn't judge that you are drunk.

😍🫶😉

Imagine you would like to escape gov tyranny at one point and the only vehicles around are these robot cars.

Yeah, no...

Not my future

Doesn't it feel weird? I don't think I could do it, i am a control freak, they would need to give me a placebo steering wheel just so I can feel safe

Last year in San Francisco I would see about 1 or 2 of these a day. A week ago, I saw 11 within 2 blocks. Lidar+cameras will win this race. I think Tesla is wwwaaayyyy behind.

I think Tesla has no competition cept in China.
