Using a coinjoin is the same as ordering a sex toy online & having it come in a package with a generic name instead of weirdfetish, com.

#Bitcoin  is a PUBLIC network. The idea that you cannot use privacy tools is literally like criminalizing people for not posting every DM in their public @X feed.

It's not the same, but the second part is true

I kinda think it is, but maybe it’s a bad analogy. In what way does it miss the mark in your thinking?

no one is claiming you cannot use privacy tools. but running a business offering privacy might be at risk

Yes its like buying a brand new home that doesn't have shades on the windows. Then you put shades up and government arrests you because house didn't come with shades and bad people use shades to be private and do bad things. So shades are not allowed. This has to be defeated. The current Adminstration has to go.

If I open my banking app and initiate a transfer of funds, am I a money transmitter now? Is my phone a money transmitter for relaying the data?

Apparently “control of funds” doesn’t matter so I don’t see how this is any different

Guy is the best at keeping it real.

You mean a coinjoin is like a "discreet delivery" of coins to you.

Except there is no "Track & Trace" code, it just appears on your doorstep.

Protocol-level fugibility makes this all unecessary.

Which is why a certain fungible altcoin keeps getting delisted from the CEXes.
