What does “bitcoin core pushing shitcoin spam” mean. Lots of people work on bitcoin core, including me at times. This statement doesn’t reflect my opinion at all. This is pure propaganda
I don’t think that’s an accurate high level description of standardness policy discussions. Mempool acceptance and relay policy has kept shitcoining to a minimum but that’s easily bypassed and such bypasses have negative consequences for node runners and miners.
At the end of the day, if non-standard transactions breaks bitcoin, bitcoin wa ms dead from the start. Policy can only work for so long to prevent problems that are better handled at the consensus level.
