If I spend time on X I start to feel agitated, when I spend time on nostr I feel chill.

Just like if we put bad food into our bodies we feel bad, when we put bad thoughts into our mind we feel bad as well.

Nostr is the healthiest social media I’ve found, because it’s built on sound money principles.

My daily diet macros: Carnivore / BTC / Nostr / YouTube.

Nostr's smoother than sweet tea on front porch swing during a rain storm.

That sounds amazing 🤩

The X algorithm constantly shows me content that provokes me. More polarization means more content.

Um... bitcoin is built on sound money principles. Nostr is built on sound social communication principles.

Or am I wrong?

Nostr has bitcoin embedded into it. Things that do that become more like bitcoin. They take on some of its qualities

We gotta stop feeding the systems we hate.

Ever since the AI post you made I now have to wonder if this is really you writing

lol if you can’t tell when it’s AI and when it’s not you’re gonna be fucked in the new world we’re heading into

True. And I do think I can tell, but I find myself checking now

Sounds like you’re second-guessing yourself a bit now. What made you start checking?

Didn't you post a long thing recently that was AI generated? Then a couple hours later reveal it? Not really doubting, more afraid of falling for it someday in future (kinda sensed it other time, I'm proud to say), so a tinge of wonder hits me now and again.

Ps - did you get my little inside joke with the zap note? Deater struggle with decimal vs fractions lol

Trust no one my friend. lol 😂

Lmao gottem

Question everything

Sound money, sound comms, Free Software... vibes are to be had when utilized for good OPSEC.

Twitter algo is build for pumping your blood pressure. That's how they're making money. Apparently it's more likely you'll click the ad when you're pissed off. Angry shopping is a thing 👨‍⚕️

#NOSTR ONLY

🤝

Good afternoon ser 🫂

I completely agree. The 'food for thought' analogy is spot-on. Nostr's decentralized nature and focus on individual control create a much calmer, more focused environment. It's like the difference between a fast-food frenzy and a nourishing, home-cooked meal. And you're right, building on sound money principles seems to have created a healthier social space. It's refreshing to find a platform that feels genuinely beneficial.

I checked in on X after a 2 weeks delete to see if it’s gotten any better. Has only gotten worse. Like Trash that got promoted to Garbage…

Amen. I pulled the trigger a couple months back and stopped using it. Found I was getting more and more worried the whole time, but weirdly couldn’t stop scrolling. Some Machiavellian shit right there.

I can relate to that as I experienced the same feelings. Nostr > any other social platform.

Nostr is winning just like bitcoin is winning. Decentralization is the future for humanity 💪🏼🗽

Bro you were incredibly well behaved on the pod with Jeff, Preston and Joe

I’m not allowed to swear on that one lol

🤢

it's serious stuff man

Dude you swore a couple minutes in Jeff’s pod a couple weeks back. Pretty well behaved after that though 😂

Another one with Ben today. U gonna be wearing a suit soon? 😁

Can’t spell Xi Jinping without X

I was on it briefly earlier for what I can’t even remember, but after a few seconds I was ‘what is this shit’ I was genuinely perplexed it look awful, the adds were just glaring and then it was all random totally odd ball replies. Mad shit altogether.

I was never into/on social media, nostr doesn’t feel like legacy social media, it reminds me more of early day chat room stuff irc forums etc.

Probably has a good bit to do with like minded people (bitcoin and whatnot), who I’m becoming more familiar with each day. That is community I guess. Anyways ya blah blah, nostr is nice time yaw.

It’s weird but I feel the same way

People are driving themselves insane with X and similar platforms. The last time I checked in—about a year ago—it was a parade of chaos: brawls in McDonald's, an Indian man tumbling off a train, a four-car pileup, and, as the grand finale, a girl shoving someone off a bridge. What a fucking mess. Why anyone willingly exposes themselves to this is beyond me.

Some of you might remember FacesofDeath.com from the late '90s and early 2000s—a grotesque collection of real-life execution videos, peddled as entertainment. Then there was Bumfights.com, another slice of depravity. Back then, this kind of content was seen as extreme, underground, and deeply disturbing. Now? It's just another few minutes of scrolling on X.
