In many of my YouTube videos about cholesterol I link to the research articles I used to make it; email those to your doctor. Especially the study in this video: https://youtu.be/BIg8A_i4hhI
My new family doctor is freaking out because because I have high cholesterol and are a "very high risk" of a heart attack.
Before my blood test results came in, he said my blood pressure, heart rate and breathing results were top notch and well above average.
It's kinda funny, sprinting every couple of weeks, being able to run a half marathon in <1:50:00, and working out 6 days/week for the last 25 years, a healthcare professional believes I'm a tickling time bomb.

Discussion
I'm confident my doctor is not interested in reading any studies unless it's promoted by pharma. Thank you for challenging the norms.
Imagine a scenario where, if you were really paying attention, you’d be as skeptical of a Doctors recommendations as you would be a shady auto mechanic.
Sad, but here we are.

My doctor up and moved without even telling me. I found out by accident that I had no doctor when I looked up my health record as an example to train someone at work. No PCP Assigned. Felt great.
I can't even imagine having a doctor I'm so close to that I could send them anything. The only way to talk to mine has always been to schedule a rushed, and often pointless 15 minute "exam" that rarely ever got me 15 whole minutes of attention. This has been the case across systems.
And I don't think most physicians want to work this way. I imagine more of them would like to provide quality over quantity if given the choice.
I switched to a direct care provider as my PCP, and it’s been like night and day. Appreciate your insights.
